Centralizing processing gives the team greater control over quality and consistency while maintaining traceability back to the people growing the coffee.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cb\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThere is an economic side to the project too. Los Volcanes pays participating producers above the local market price and provides direct feedback on cup quality and coffee performance. The idea is simple: create a clearer connection between the work happening on these small farms, the quality in the cup, and the value producers receive for it.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cb\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe farms sit between 1,500 and 1,730 meters above sea level in the volcanic soils surrounding Volcán de Agua.
