APG Specialty Coffee
Founded by Antonio Pérez-Redondo Galvan in 1929, APG Specialty Coffee is a green coffee exporter that’s been providing guidance and excellence in coffee production in Coatepec, Veracruz for nearly a century!
Since the beginning, the company has been at the forefront of appropriate and gainful industrialization and farm management. As early as the 1960s, they partnered with the venerable (and also Coatepec-based) Orea Machine Factory, who themselves have been providing farmers with necessary new technologies and equipment since 1938. Today, APG is a licensed distributor of Pinhalense products; Pinhalense have been a world leader for decades in grain processing technology, with an emphasis on coffee production.
APG brought focus to the ecological implications of coffee production in the 1990s, modernizing their mill, and placing greater emphasis on environmental stewardship and cup quality, as they dove deeper into the specialty side of the coffee industry. The greatest of accolades were achieved in 2019 and 2021 when a partner farm, Finca Fatima, won the Mexican Cup of Excellence.
APG continues to partner with producers who emphasis quality, consistency, and fair practice in growing regions throughout Mexico. They have proven their preeminence in, and dedication to coffee farming since their founding, and are a wonderful source for exemplary Mexican coffees.
