Celebrating Houston’s Coffee Culture: Tenfold’s SCA 2025 Recap

Houston showed up big for SCA Expo 2025 — and we at Tenfold Coffee are still buzzing (in the best way). This year wasn’t just about the expo floors or industry panels. It was about connection: across cities, across countries, and across the table over a shared cup.

We kicked off the weekend Friday evening with Brazil in Focus, hosted at Paper Co. Cafe, where Daterra and San Coffee shared insights around sustainability, governance, and the future of Brazilian specialty coffee production before inviting guests to an intimate cupping experience. Later that afternoon, Cantina Tenfold transformed our Downtown café into a vibrant celebration of Mexican coffee, curated wines, and craft spirits, thanks to collaborations with Pangea Selections and Stamp Act Coffee. Saturday morning, we laced up with Loose Lace Run Club at Tenfold Heights, gathering the Houston coffee community for a lively mix of running, walking, and movement before recharging with coffee, pastries, and plenty of good hangs. The celebrations continued Saturday night with our Taste of Texas Tailgate Party, where BBQ from Khoi, burgers from FlipNPatties, games, music, and incredible specialty coffee created an unforgettable night under the stars. From cupping tables to cornhole tournaments, every moment was a reflection of the relationships, energy, and passion that fuel both Houston’s local coffee scene and our global coffee family.

Throughout the weekend, we also hosted Friends of Tenfold Bar Takeovers, inviting some of our favorite local and international coffee roasters to pop up at our cafés and showcase their unique offerings. Every takeover brought a fresh energy to our spaces and a deeper reminder of the friendships and collaborations that continue to grow specialty coffee in Houston.

SCA Expo 2025 was a weekend we’ll never forget — not because of how much we poured, but because of how much we connected.

To everyone who joined us — runners, roasters, farmers, producers, and friends — thank you for being part of it. The future of Houston coffee culture is bright, and we’re honored to help shape it, one relationship at a time.
