Gesha - Iconic

White Grape, Pear & Lemongrass

Originally from Ethiopia’s Gori Gesha Forest, this legendary variety revealed its true potential when grown at high altitude. Colombia’s washed Gesha showcases clarity and elegance through 30-hour underwater fermentation and careful drying, delivering delicate florals, white grape brightness, and refined citrus aromatics.

About this coffee

This washed Gesha comes from Santa Mónica, a farm in Quindío run by Jairo Arcila and his family. While Gesha has its roots in Ethiopia’s Gori Gesha Forest, Colombia’s high elevations and volcanic soils give the variety a different expression, one built on clarity rather than excess.

The coffee is selectively harvested and fermented underwater for 30 hours before being fully washed and dried under close supervision. The process is deliberate and restrained, designed to preserve the structure of the coffee rather than push it in any one direction. That approach shows clearly in the cup.

Expect lifted florals and gentle citrus, with white grape brightness and a clean, tea-like finish. There’s a softness to it, but also precision. It works well across brewing styles and rewards slower attention without demanding it.

This is Gesha without theatre. Calm, clean, and quietly expressive.

Partnership

Jairo Arcila’s work at Santa Mónica sits within the wider Cofinet network, a family-run operation built around long-term relationships and careful process. Cofinet’s early years overlap closely with Tenfold’s own history in coffee.

Our relationship began in Australia during Cofinet’s first few harvests, when Jacob was working as a green buyer at Five Senses Coffee. At that time, Carlos Arcila was deeply involved in developing Cofinet’s early export program, refining processing methods and establishing consistency across lots. Those early coffees helped shape Cofinet’s direction, and the feedback loop between producer, exporter, and roaster was immediate and practical.

Since then, both businesses have grown, but the foundation remains the same. Long-term thinking, shared standards, and a willingness to invest time before scale. Santa Mónica reflects that approach clearly. Experience built over decades, supported by partnerships that have been there from the start.
